COMMERCE CITY, CO – October 4, 2021 – On Friday, October 1, CORE Consultants, Inc. (CORE) attended a sneak peek of The STEAD School—a science-focused, hands-on, student-led high school in Commerce City, Colorado. The new school is the first-of-its-kind in the U.S. and is slated to open its doors to students on October 11, 2021.
The STEAD School at Reunion is a next-generation agricultural high school with innovative facilities to build future leaders in the food, animal, plant, and environmental sciences. The 14-acre campus includes a collaborative agribusiness lab, soil and seeds lab, greenhouse, and outdoor farm. CORE’s scope of work included conceptual utility, grading plans, drainage design, and construction plans that encompass the school and associated parking lot, utilities, and drainage infrastructure.
The project was a collaborative effort with Oakwood Homes, DLR Architects, JR Engineering, Saunders Constructions, Terracina Design, and Commerce City.
