ENGLEWOOD, CO – June 17, 2021 – Blake Calvert, President and CEO of CORE Consultants, Inc. has been appointed to the board of Englewood Downtown Development Authority (EDDA) by the Englewood City Council. The EDDA will provide consistent stewardship and spur investment needed to ensure that Downtown Englewood becomes an even more inviting, connected, and dynamic destination.
CORE Consultants recently relocated to Englewood’s South Broadway Corridor, and serving the local community was important to Calvert, who is one of seven new board members to the EDDA. “I want to help guide the board and overall plan to improve the area. As a civil engineer, I have a background in public infrastructure, land use and redevelopment, so it’s a great fit for me.”
The EDDA is a quasi-public agency providing structure and financing for projects focusing on Englewood’s downtown economic vitality, attractiveness, and quality of life. By presenting a unified voice for the Downtown area, EDDA facilitates partnerships between businesses, property owners, and other civic interests to support Downtown for the long term.
